Grampians Grape Escape is one of the longest running food and wine festivals in Australia, beginning in 1992. Over this time, the festival has grown and now attracts a crowd of up to 10,000 foodies from across the world.
Grampians Grape Escape is held on the first weekend in May every year, at the Halls Gap Recreation Reserve, within the Grampians National Park at Halls Gap.
The month long festival culminates with the Grampians Grape Escape weekend. During the month there are many special events at local wineries and restaurants, showcasing the delights of producers in the western region of Victoria.
The Grampians Grape Escape weekend provides food and wine offerings by more than 100 local artisan producers, master-classes, celebrity chefs, live music and family entertainment. Come for a day, enjoy a weekend getaway, or stay longer and have time to visit the producers in the region, and explore the Grampians National Park.
